Issues
First and foremost, I believe in the family. I will always base my decisions on the question,
“Does it PROTECT FAMILY VALUES?”
- I will Support legislation to ensure that marriage remains legally defined as the union between one man and one woman.
- I will Support tougher penalties for criminals, especially those sexual predators who prey on our children.
- I will Protect the 2nd Amendment by protecting the rights of individual citizens to keep and bear arms.
- I Believe life begins at conception and I will fight to protect the life of the unborn through legislation as well as continue to support local crisis pregnancy centers and adoption agencies.
- I will Support voluntary school prayer.
- I Believe that we should have the ability to publicly post the Ten Commandments.
- I will Fight to protect private property rights by making sure individual’s property cannot be taken by government agencies for private development.
I believe that shutting down ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION is one of the most consequential actions as a state and nation that we can take.
- I Fully Support federal legislation to increase enforcement of tougher border protection.
- I Strongly Support legislation that would allow only citizens legally residing in Georgia to receive taxpayer benefits and have the ability to vote.
- I Support the creation of a forgery-proof alien card that has to be presented for employment, and I will push for tougher penalties for those found guilty of producing forged documents.
We have a HEALTHCARE crisis.
- I Support assistance to small businesses to provide greater access to affordable health care.
- We must Provide Support to our medical schools to train needed professionals.
- I Believe that we need to overhaul the state's Medicaid system which doesn't allow physicians and other health care providers to be fairly compensated for their services.
- I Support civil legal reform that keeps frivolous lawsuits from causing health care costs to spiral out of control.
We pay too many TAXES.
- I will Work to lower taxes for all Georgians regardless of income levels.
- I Support the elimination of the state income tax to be replaced by a sales tax, or fair tax.
- I will Fight to ensure that all funding at the state level is needed and essential and not wasted on "pork-barrel" spending.
- I will Support the elimination of government projects that are not achieving real, tangible results.
- I will Fight for building the state's "Rainy Day” fund providing adequate reserves that Georgia will need in time of economic downturns.
EDUCATION of our children is the most critical economic enhancer we have.
- I Support the idea that public schools must devote at least 65% of their spending on classroom uses.
- I Support legislation that will raise the educational standards in Georgia by lowering dropout rates and improving SAT scores.
- I Support parental choice to give families the ability to choose what is in the best interest of their children.
- I Believe we need to focus attention on the basic skills of reading, writing, and math.
- We must Promote local-decision making for school systems which will allow for increased discipline and better accountability.
